Mission Statement:
Down Under Mustangs & Equine Rescue began in 2002, and is a private rescue in Mount Shasta, California that provides shelter and care for horses that are feral, sick, injured, abandoned, abused, neglected, or slaughter bound when the owner can no longer keep them. These horses are given a low stress place where they are handled and happily rehabilitated, retrained, and rehomed in permanent loving homes. DUM is a no-kill rescue, unless the horse is terminally ill and/or suffering in pain. DUM is run by one person alone, and receives NO funding of any sort other than out of pocket and by private donation. Please Donate!!!
